Mr. Matthew Pharr
My name is Matthew Pharr and I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal of Cherokee County High School. Although I am a graduate of Armuchee High School in Rome, Georgia, my entire professional career has been devoted to Cherokee County High School.
I began my journey at CCHS in 2012 as an intern under the mentorship of Mrs. Rhonda Blanchard. The following year, I was hired as the In-School Suspension (ISS) Aide, and a year later I transitioned into the classroom as a full-time teacher. For ten years, I taught Economics and Political Science, and I also served as the varsity soccer coach for ten years and the varsity wrestling coach for five years. These roles allowed me to engage with students both academically and athletically, helping shape well-rounded individuals.
In my current role as Assistant Principal, I take great pride in supporting our students, faculty, and families. I am committed to maintaining the high standards and strong sense of community that define CCHS.
I am blessed to share both my personal and professional life with my wife, Melissa, who has been a dedicated math teacher at CCHS since 2017. We have been married for 13 years and are grateful to be part of such a supportive and inspiring community.
